(Restore. Emerge. Soar. Embark. Transform)
Rising Above All Hurdles Through Faith
The book has the RESET principles in it. We all need a RESET in our life, sometimes that reset may look like day by day. If we don’t have a reset then we continue to carry our burdens through life and these things can leave us bitter. I share how we can have a reset through God. When we think about RESET, it is about finding a way forward, but also allowing God to bless you as He works on the circumstances in your life so that you can fulfill your God-given purpose.
I explain a RESET where God did a factory reset on me just like the phone is wiped clean and taken back to it’s original state. When we involve God in our circumstances and seek HIS guidance He sure shows us how to lay our baggage down. I found victory in this process.
RESET stands for Restore. Emerge. Soar. Embark. Transform.
When we think of the word restore, often the first thought is about bringing back what was lost or returning something to its former state of glory. However, God restores us abundantly as he gives us beauty for our ashes. He helps us emerge from our past hurts and trauma. Emerging also involves recognizing what we need to feed our minds and hearts to maintain the new personality of God-like qualities. Soaring process can only happen when we put our burdens down. It’s hard to soar with the weight of our burdens. The meaning of embark is the embracing of new beginnings and opportunities. Change is extremely hard, however. When things shift, we are taken out of our comfort zone, a lot of different emotions are stirred up, including fear. That fear can make us feel that it is safer just to stay put, even if the situation is less than ideal or even toxic, because we fear what might happen once we leave that safe place. We must close the door on our past especially if God has shut that door in order to move forward. Transforming ourselves to align with God’s thinking means breaking old patterns of thinking to transform ourselves into what God designed us to be. It means asking ourselves hard questions., then answering honestly without excuses and being accountable for the choices we make. But it also involves embracing forgiveness, the way God forgave us.
